Training And Certification

The use of drones in Canada is governed by Transport Canada regulations. Drone pilots operating all but the smallest drones (<250g) must be certified. Raven West offers training that will lead candidates to achieve Transport Canada Basic or Advanced certifications. In partnership with Altex Academy, we offer a combination of online, self-directed learning and in-person, hands-on training. We also offer Flight Review services for pilots to complete their Advanced certification. Raven West also develops and delivers private or group training, working with beginners to advanced learners. We offer youth workshops and enjoy tailoring our training to all ages and abilities. We specialize in developing your skills, creating independence, and providing follow-up support as you need it.
